It is painful to have scabies blister on parts of body - sides of fingers, between the fingers, on the backs of the hands, on the wrists, heels, elbows, armpits, inner thighs and around the waist. Scabies can be treated at home with many natural remedies.

But important thing before treating with any home remedies for scabies is to is ensure that condition you have is scabies and not something else.

1. Wash the cloths with hot water

It is important that you take precautions to avoid any further spread or re-occurance of scabies by using hot water to kill the mites.

Wash all clothing, towels, and bed linens that you have used in the last three days. Use hot water. You should use the dryer at high heat rather than air drying. Since the mites can survive on nonliving objects for several days, place the objects that are not machine washable (such as coats and stuffed toys) into a bag and store for a week.

2. Diet you should watch

The infected person should not eat any junk food or dairy product. Instead, he/she should increase the intake of foods that are rich in zinc, like sunflower seeds, wheat bran, whole grain products, blackstrap molasses or soybeans.

3. Use tea tree oil

Tea tree oil has antiseptic properties, which kills the parasitic mites and aids faster healing. You can directly apply tea tree oil over the infected area to fight scabies naturally. It is highly recommended by doctors.

4. Hygiene

The patient should develop clean habits. Exercises, brisk walk in fresh air in the morning and evening, are very useful for the patient.

Thoroughly vacuum carpets, furniture, bedding, and car interiors, and throw the vacuum-cleaner bag away when finished. Also, cut your nails, and clean under them thoroughly to remove any mites or eggs that may be present.

5. Neem leafs or neem oil

Neem is a widely used natural remedy that cures scabies. Mix some neem extract with warm water and bathe with it. You can also use neem oil, if you do not wish to use neem extract. Bathe twice a week with warm water to heal scabies within weeks.

6. Turmeric powder

Turmeric, when combined with neem, also becomes an effective home remedy for treating scabies. It kills bacteria and mites. Mix neem extract and turmeric powder to create a paste. Now, apply it over the affected area and let it stay for an hour. Then, rinse well.

7. Garlic paste

A garlic paste when applied on the affected areas with a thick layer provides you soothing effects. Use a brush or your hand to spread the garlic paste on sore areas and leave the paste for at least 20 to 30 minutes. With cold water just remove the paste.

8. Aloe vera

The aloe vera herb has natural medicinal properties that can be used to treat a number of skin diseases. Apply the pulp of fresh aloe vera on your skin for getting relief from scabies.

9. Ficus tree powder(peepul tree)

The ficus religosa tree powder is considered to be an effective treatment option for scabies. Make a thick paste of this powder with water or olive oil.  Apply paste on infected organs for 10 to 12 minutes. No doubt, this is a really effective home remedy for scabies. You can apply this paste thrice a week for obtaining effective results.

10. Zinc tablets

Zinc prevents rashes and itching that is caused on onset of scabies and also helps prevent it from growing. Grind a few zinc tablets into fine powder and mix it with water. Now apply this paste to the irritated skin areas. You can also mix turmeric with it to get relief from itching.

12. Apricot leaves

Apply the fresh leaves of apricot over the sore areas for fast relief. It is a pure and natural way to get relief from this skin infection. It is good to apply apricot leaves three to four times a day. Apricot leaves have antimicrobial properties and provide relief from mites.

13. Hot and cold bath

Take a shower with the water as hot as you can tolerate. Warm your body completely or just your head for lice then suddenly switch the water to cold to completely chill your whole body. Repeat this process once or twice and make sure that you never burn yourself. This kind of remedy is effective because the mites are not able to withstand the sudden, abrupt changes in temperature.

This trick works fine for scabies and head lice.

14. Cayenne pepper

Using cayenne peppers in your hot water bath burn the parasitic mite and their eggs to death without harming you. It will not kill the mites but can at least provide some relief.

15. Sesame seed oil

Sesame seed oil is used after boiling and then by cooling. Sesame seed oil has strong anti-microbial properties. It should be applied daily over the infected parts, used as a beneficial home remedies for scabies.
